Our Mission

PranaAid focuses on 4 key objectives: 

  • To teach preventative mindful meditation practices by which an individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and is able to make a contribution to his or her community, 

  • To provide Mental Health First Aid training to promote mental health and prevent mental illness by building a bridge between individuals experiencing mental health crisis and professional resources in a timely manner,  

  • To facilitate affordable, preventative, holistic courses such as MBSR, iREST, Sound healing and other modalities tailored for individuals and communities, 

  • To include spiritual well-being as an important component and strong foundation of the definition of the "Health" in all its teaching. PranaAid believes the definition of the health should be,” A state of complete balance in physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being ". 

Meet Matt

In his healing practice, Matt combines various ancient wisdoms, yogic and Sufi practices to accelerate healing by balancing the mind, body and spirit. He is a certified meditation teacher (500 hours) and has completed 220- hours yoga teacher training. He has been providing regular mindfulness practices, breathing, sound meditation exercises for various companies.  He is facilitating an eight week course in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to help participants to better deal with stress, improve their state mental and physical well-being.

Matt’s passion for teaching spirituality, psychology and caring for the well-being of himself and others has given him the opportunity to teach Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) through the Mental Health Commission of Canada since 2019. 

Matt is hopeful that his teaching sessions will spark more enthusiasm in individuals so that they can cope better with life stressors, increase their productivity and live a happier life. Here is the list of mindfulness modalities that Matt is completed and certified:

  • Sonic Healing- Level 1 Currently  working on his practicum to complete level 2

  • 200- Hour Meditation Teacher Training 

  • 300-Hours Meditation Teacher Training

  • Trained Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Facilitator

  • Mental Health First Aid Facilitator (Virtual and classroom sessions, Standard and Basic courses)

  • 220-Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training
